The deck of cards contains 30 cards, with handshapes on one side, and on the other side
4 instructions on every card next to the figure of Lily and Petey can be read, so the publication contains 120 exercises in total.

Using the 30 cards you can measure:
– the body awareness – with 29 body parts
– the spatial perception – with 9 space parts
– the body scheme – with 60 tasks
– the ability of association – with 2 elements
– the execution of movement types – with 16 types of movement
– and fine motor skills – with 30 handshapes
Task 1: Accurate illustration of handshapes.
We can measure positive or negative deviations in these tasks, which will later influence the order of performing the exercises.
Task 2: Performing handshape exercises. Here, we demonstrate handshapes in a predetermined sequence, based on the development of the children’s hands, following a set of instructions.
Task 3: With the hand / hands we start moving in space. For these tasks, there is typically still no association of ideas.
Task 4: We demonstrate hand signs with meaning in space using the handshapes on the cards.

The card is unique due to its complexity, because it tries to coordinate not only the
fine movements of the fingers of the hand but also the movements of the
mouth and the eyes
at the same time, thus allowing a large area of the brain to be activated. The tasks also develop the ability to
associate and large movements.
The evaluation will take into account 639 + 60 items,
which will be used to draw up the Complex Hand signal Development Plan at
the end –
by means of a simple, pre-programmed and in a short time accessible spreadsheet -, which allows for fully
personalised movement development.

The publication is recommended for children from the age of 2-3 years,
considering that children’s manual dexterity develops gradually. The cards are also available in English.

With the tasks assigned by the Complex Hand Signal Development Plan you can develop the child / adult involved in the measurement in a highly targeted way.
